10/10 would recommend. Booked in from a simple trim, was greeted by warm and friendly staff. I was made to feel so comfortable that I expressed possibly changing my colour. Violet listened and shared knowledge and suggestions which I took on board. Left the salon with a vibrant new look and a spring in my step thanks to Violet and her lovely staff.

I had a wonderful experience at Violets Hair Salon last night! I was feeling unsure about my highlights, but Violet took the time to listen and understand exactly what I wanted. The result? I'm absolutely thrilled with my new colour and cut! The team were friendly, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. It was such a relaxing place to enjoy a cuppa and chat while getting my hair done. I highly recommend Violet to anyone looking for a personal touch and great service!

I cannot recommend Dove highly enough. This was, without a doubt, one of the best hair experiences I have ever had. I came to her for a color correction, and her skill and understanding in this area are truly out of this world. She approached my hair with incredible care and precision. To fix my previous poorly done lowlights, she sorted through and applied highlights to each dark follicle by hand—the dedication was astounding. Despite this being my first appointment, Dove was so easy to talk to. She listened intently, took immense pride in her work, and was wonderfully understanding of my goals. She went above and beyond to achieve the exact look I wanted, all while prioritizing the health and quality of my hair. If you are looking for a colorist who is both a master technician and a genuine artist, look no further. Dove is phenomenal. I've found my hair stylist for life!

Superb! I was a walk in. Next stop was Australia. Extremely happy with Violet's care for trimming my "bangs and top". She blended the trim so it was not out of balance with the rest of the cut. She is definitely an expert with a special touch!

I shared my story with her, and right from the beginning, I felt at ease. I’m so impressed with the colour and cut, she absolutely nailed it! I had the pleasure of having Brenda today who did a olaplex treatment, cut&blow wave with curls. So happy with my hair and how it feels, you can definitely relax and put your trust in Brenda as her work shows how much experience she has! I love my hair and feel so relaxed after my treatment, if I lived in Queenstown I’d make it a regular visit! Every stylist that was working made sure to say hello and make sure I was comfortable which is always a great touch so thank you ladies I feel a million bucks!

I have never meet any hairdresser like Brenda from Violet hair Design! She was a super machine! She deserves a GOLD MEDAL 🥇 honestly have not met any hair dresser, that can pull this off in two hours! I can't thank her enough! I Walked in with long stressed orange hair. Where do I begin?! I made a same day appointment at Violet’s and Brenda was my stylist and let me say, thank god I ended up coming here! It must have been some sort of divine intervention 😝 Post-wedding I was debating a massive chop to my hair which was nearly half a meter and Brenda helped create the space for me to make this decision with the utmost confidence. She gave me the time and guidance to truly understand what the impact would be and the glam I was leaving behind with my luscious locks but thanks to her (and Violet also supporting in the background) I was able to fully grasp my true excitement for this change. Not to mention she completely slayed my haircut. A true professional and artist in every way! I genuinely appreciate her expertise and will always remember this special chop on our honeymoon 😊 “your hair does not define who you are” but it can sure make you feel like a million bucks when you go somewhere like Violet’s. All the best and hope to be back in NZ again in another 4-5 years when it’s time for another chop xo
